Collection Highlights gathers paintings, sculptures, works on paper, and installations from a collection of over 7,700 works. It spotlights East Village artists practicing in the early 1980s and large-scale installations and sculptures.
Art Outside arranges monumental sculpture, neon, sound, wall murals, and participatory works in a public-art parcours. Temporary commissions include work by Abraham Cruzvillegas, Glexis Novoa, and Karen Rifas.
Adams hangs four tapestries and suspended dust clouds of carefully twisted wires and repurposed everyday materials through a three-story stairwell. The tapestries incorporate chains, lace, fringe, and beads that catch light across their surfaces.
Palazzolo-Daboul assembles galvanized-pipe sculptures with more than 40,000 individually cast cement beads. The pipe serves as armature while the beads drape, sag, and yield to their collective weight.
