Delete your account
You can delete your Gallop account at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Recommended
Delete from inside the app
- Open Gallop on your iPhone.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Scroll to the bottom of the sheet and tap Delete account.
- Confirm the prompt.
Your account, profile, lists, saved shows, visits, follows, and uploaded avatar are removed immediately and can't be recovered.
Can't open the app?
Delete by email
Send an email from the address tied to your Gallop account asking us to delete it. We'll confirm and remove your account within 7 days, and always within 30 days at the latest.
Sends to hello@gogallop.app. Please email from the address that's on your Gallop account so we can verify it's you.
What gets deleted
- Your account record (email + sign-in identifier).
- Your profile (display name, username, bio, avatar).
- Your lists and any items you added to them.
- Your saved shows and saved hops.
- Your visit history.
- Your follows and followers relationships.
- Your push-notification token.
What might be retained
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics (for example, how many people opened a given exhibition) that can't be tied back to you.
- Standard server logs, kept briefly for security and debugging, and then automatically expired.
- Records we're required to keep for legal or accounting reasons. Gallop doesn't take payments, so this rarely applies.
