Summer '25

As Los Angeles embarks upon its summer season, bringing forth its many challenges, Summer ‘25 lends Art and the Gallery as a safe landing for reflection, feeling, bold initiatives, and connection. We believe in art's ability to ground us and offer beauty and dialogue.

Our summer presentation, featuring works from across the African Diaspora by Ayobami Ogungbe, Ameh Egwuh, Tonia Nneji, David Otaru, Fiker Solomon, Sedireng Mothibasela, Marcellina Akpojotor, and Sabrina Coleman-Pinheiro, is a re-curated selection. Each piece offers a unique insight into memory, resilience, identity, and joy. Together, these works form a dialogue across borders and experiences, hoping to incite our imagination for a shared and empowered future.

At Rele, art is a conversation, connected to our community and lived experience. It is care, it is relief. In this time and always, Rele remains a space to critically engage with the problems facing our local spaces and the African diaspora with empathy and hope.
