Our fall exhibition presents a selection of editions by Richard Serra. Works include the artist’s Videy Afangar etchings (1991), Venice Notebooks (2002), Paths and Edges (2006), Junctions (2010), Horizontal Reversals (2017), Finally Finished (2017-2018), Equals (2018), Right Angles (2019) and Composites (2019). Serra has continuously pushed the boundaries of traditional printmaking methods through a variety of techniques – from deeply etched copper plates, Paintstik and silica rolled onto handmade paper, editions installed directly to the wall, and the combination of screenprinted Paintstik on top of aquatint etchings.
