More from Anne Arnold on Gallop

Anne Arnold was born in 1925 in Melrose, Massachusetts. She received her B.A. from University of New Hampshire and went on to earn a M.A. at Ohio State University in 1947. Then, after a year in Mexico at University of Guadalajara, she moved to New York and enrolled at The Art Students League, where she studied from 1949 to 1953.

The first one-person exhibition of Arnold's work was at Tanager Gallery on Tenth Street in New York in 1960. Her work was then the subject of nine one-person shows at Fischbach Gallery and was included in many group shows around the country. In 1983 a retrospective exhibition was organized by the Paul Creative Arts Center at University of New Hampshire.
