Lo Brutto Stahl is thrilled to present You Are in Good Hands., the first solo exhibition with the gallery by Berlin-based artist Philipp Simon. The exhibition considers how we are integrated into informational spaces through a new series of paintings and a site-specific installation that suggests the presence of a managing structure.
Philipp Simon (b. 1987, Berlin, DE) lives and works in Berlin. He received his MFA from the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee in 2014. Recent solo and duo exhibitions include: Liste with Schiefe Zähne, Basel (2024); Ruf/Simon , Lo Brutto Stahl, Paris (2024); Diesel–Only, Schiefe Zähne, Berlin (2023); Incomplete Nature, Kirchgasse Gallery, Steckborn (2022); The Big Picture , Schiefe Zähne, Berlin (2021); and [no title], 15 Orient, New York (2020).
His work has recently been shown in group exhibitions such as: Liste with The Wig, Basel (2025); Air Service Basel 2025, Lo Brutto Stahl, Basel (2025); Modeling, Lo Brutto Stahl, Paris (2025); Familiar, Gauli Zitter, Brussels (2024); The Ceremony, Judy's Death, Paris (2024); Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow Again, Binz39, Zürich (2024).
In 2024, Simon published his first sci-fi novel Natur.
