For our 11th Edition, Prizm presents Civilization is Not Civil considering the nature by which “civil”izations are established. They are rarely built by consent, but instead through acts of overt and/or covert violence, and manipulation. Economic systems, policies, and geopolitics play an integral in shaping societies that oppress many but generously serve few. Civilization is not Civil will explore the irony that civilizations are born of not-so-civil acts. Our holistic program includes four sections: Prizm Panels, Prizm Perform, Prizm Film, Prizm Preview, and, of course, Prizm Art Fair at large, exhibiting international artists from Africa and the global African Diaspora.

Artists will represent global locales including, Barbados, Kenya, Martinique, Portugal, Saint Croix, Saint Martin, Uganda, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom, and many more.
