William Arnold is pleased to present ‘City,’ a group exhibition that explores the role of architecture in contemporary art. The exhibition features work from emerging artists.

Olga Balema was born in 1984 in Lviv, Ukraine. Her work will be exhibited at the 2015 New Museum Triennial; “Surround Audience.” Amongst other exhibitions, her work has been included in “DOOM: Surface Control” at CNAC, Grenoble, France; “Puddle, pothole, portal” at Sculpture Centre, NY; “Nature After Nature” at Fridericianum, Kassel, Germany and “Geographies of Contamination” at the George Roberts Foundation, London.

Steve Bishop was born in 1983 in Toronto, Canada. Bishop has had recent solo exhibitions at Carlos/Ishikawa, London; Supportico Lopez, Berlin; Koal, Berlin; and Supplement, London. Amongst other exhibitions, his work has been included in “Pre-Pop to Post-Human,” at Hayward Touring, UK; “Library of Babel/In and Out of Place,” Zabludowicz Collection, London and “Newspeak: British Art Now Part II,” The Saatchi Gallery, London. From 2009 to 2013 Steve Bishop was the publisher of MONO, a free paper dedicated to publishing visual essays.

Ben Schumacher was born in 1985 in Kitchener, Canada. He recently presented a major solo exhibition at the Musée d’art Contemporain in Lyon. Amongst other exhibitions, his work has been included in “Coming to Reality” at Futura, SVIT in Prague, Czech Republic; “Love of Technology” at MoCa North Miami; and “Short Stories” at Sculpture Centre, NY. Ben Schumacher recently curated “from whose ground heaven and hell compare” at Croy Nielsen, Berlin and “Bloomington: Mall of America, North Side Food Court, Across From Burger King & The Bank of Payphones that don’t take incoming calls” at Bortolami, New York.

Calla Henkel was born in 1988 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Max Pitegoff was born in1987 in Boston, Massachusetts. The pair has worked collaboratively since graduating Cooper Union in 2011. Henkel and Pitegoff have had solo exhibitions at Museum Morsbroich, Germany; Max Mayer, Düsseldorf; T293, Naples; Tanya Leighton, Berlin; and Tomorrow Gallery, Toronto. Amongst other exhibitions their work has been included in “Art Post Internet” at UCCA Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing, China; “Culture and Leisure” at Westfalischer Kunstverein, Münster, Germany; “Love of Technology” at MoCa North Miami; “Stars!” (a performance directed by Matthew Lutz-Kinoy), Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; “LLL, hc r 1” at Kunsthalle Bern, Switzerland. They ran the bar Times in Berlin, Germany from July, 2011 to September, 2012 and founded The New Theatre, Berlin, in August of 2013.
