Garret Kane

NeoGrowths is an exhibition showcasing the recent sculptures and NFTs of Garret Kane exploring the union and division between the natural and virtual. The NeoGrowths series illustrates the synthesis of nature's volatility and potential.

Various species of wood from Indonesia and the United States were 3D scanned using photogrammetry and structured light to produce digital replicas. Integrated within the negative spaces, nerve-like mesh, known as plexus geometry, are generated and printed using stereolithographic resin printers. Each NFT is animated using intricately webbed geometric algorithms to suggest the movement within each resin plexus.

Garret Kane is an interdisciplinary sculptor based in Brooklyn, New York. His artistic practice spans both digital and physical spaces from mixed media sculptures to NFTs. Kane has been in multiple solo and group shows, exhibiting work internationally. He has attended residencies in Mexico City and Sao Paolo. Most notable are the 3 solo exhibitions in NYC’s Flatiron Building Prow Artspace; Chashama’s Gala at One World Trade (YEAR); and Untitled Art Fair in South Beach, Miami in 2021.Description text goes here
