This landmark survey rewrites a photography canon long told through male voices. More than 200 photographs, videos, installations and rare books bring together 27 artists, from postwar pioneers documenting protest and changing gender roles to later generations turning domestic life, fashion, motherhood and self-image into radical forms of authorship.
