The three of us were brought together through a shared interest in this group of artists. Each of us having been introduced to their work at different times, in different settings, and from different backgrounds – but each of us with the assertion that their work is defining an entirely new artistic approach. This project, and its inaugural exhibition, was born out of that common interest.

This is a survey of a group of artists, tied together not necessarily by style or medium, but by their culture. There is not an aesthetic or conceptual throughline in this exhibition, just a cultural one. What their work represents is something new, something relevant, and something that is deeply rooted in American culture. They take cues from Pop Art, American Realism, commercial sign painting, Hollywood, the Internet, and everything in, around, and in between these realms.

There is an enduring cultural exchange that occurs between Berlin and the United States. These are two places linked by an unsatiated appetite for artistic progress. Our hope is for this to expand on that link and strengthen the transatlantic dialogue.

This exhibition series aims to encourage the viewer to take a closer look at the diverse and evolving landscape of art being made in the United States today, with an aim to observe and recontextualize the artwork through a different lens.

For this first show, the objective is simple: to showcase our favorite art being created by a young generation of Americans, from New York to California, to a new audience in the great city of Berlin.
