Isolated

Isolated will delve into the psyches of major Post-War and Contemporary artists whose works exude anguish and detachment in their investigation of the human condition through their treatment of the most evocative subject: portraiture. We will examine how Alberto Giacometti, Francis Bacon, Bruce Nauman, Mike Kelley and others translated their psychological monologues through various media including painting, sculpture, and photography.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue with a newly commissioned essay by art historian Leslie Camhi.
