Where Have All the Flowers Gone?

Oct 8 – Nov 7, 2026

More from Richard Nott on Gallop

Richard Nott, who began as a fashion designer and co-founded the label Workers for Freedom, shows a new series of flower paintings named after the 1961 folk song. Rather than mourning, the canvases are exuberant, with marbled colour and metallic pigment, and florals borrowed from Asian ceramics, Indian miniatures and English embroidery. He worked mostly with palette knives, which loosened his usually exact style.
