Bahnhof is pleased to announce Landmarks, a group exhibition curated by Ekaterina Soriano. Landmarks commemorates the gallery’s inaugural exhibition.

Landmarks features works suggestive of public urban structures, once intended to inform or persuade, now in an indeterminate state of transition, malfunction, or generation. Abjection is an instance of the intolerable; the abject often takes the form of physical decay and exists in abrasive relation to the corporeal. In Landmarks, there is, faithfully, proximity of what is refused with the renewed. Surfaces that suggest triumph or permanence are viewed among indexes of social existence, serving as reminders of mortality in accelerated and increasingly illegible conditions.

Ekaterina Soriano (b. 1986, Saint Petersburg) is a director and curator currently based in Brooklyn. She received her Graduate Diploma in Visual Cultures from Goldsmiths University of London and studied under Raqs Media Collective at the V-A-C Foundation’s Curatorial School in Moscow. Her curating efforts have largely focused on contributing to emerging national cultural institutions in Russia, including The New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater, Saint Petersburg; Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Moscow; The Museum of Printing, in conjunction with Manifesta 10, Saint Petersburg.

Greg Allen-Müller (b. 1973, San Marcos) was raised in Texas and moved to New York City in 1997 where he currently resides. He received his BFA from Texas State University. Allen-Müller served as an assistant to Tom Wesselmann from 1999 to 2004, and has continued to hold a position with his Estate until present day. Exhibitions include Galerie Benden & Klimczak, Cologne; Galería Arnés + Röpke, Madrid; NYU Galleries, New York; New Release Gallery, New York.

Alexander Muret (b. 1992, New York) is a painter living and working in New York. Recent exhibitions include Appointment Only, Los Angeles; Utrecht NOW IDeA, Tokyo; Good Taste, New York. In 2016, Muret collaborated on La Collection de Paris with Hedi Slimane for his final collection as creative director of fashion house Saint Laurent, at the historic Hôtel de Sénecterre in Paris. His illustrated and self-published books can be found at Printed Matter in New York, Utrecht / NOW IDeA and the Watari-Um Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo.

Bat-Ami Rivlin (b. 1991, Israel) is a New York City based artist. Rivlin received her MFA degree in visual arts from Columbia University in 2019 and her BFA degree from the School of Visual Arts in 2016. Recent exhibitions include SVA Chelsea Gallery; NARS Foundation Gallery; BronxArtSpace; The Knockdown Center, all New York. Her performance work has been featured at Torus Porta. Rivlin is the recipient of the SVA Fine Arts and the SVA Bronze Casting grant at MANA Contemporary. She is a current artist in residence at the NARS Foundation Residency, Brooklyn.
