Rumpelstiltskin is delighted to present My bonnie domino state, an exhibition featuring three watercolors from the 1970s by Donald Evans, sixteen frottage drawings and a room-length installation by Andrew Gonzalez, a painting and sculpture by Matt Mullican, a look from Women's History Museum, and selections from the collection of historian, collector, author, and researcher of banknote engraving, Mark D. Tomasko.

The exhibition explores how images and objects are used to construct value consensus, and in turn how such constructions are used to control the lives and circulation of those very images, objects, and people. Reproducibility, married with securitization and controlled distribution, makes possible the preservation of power and cultural values, much of which can be felt through material culture. The works in this show distill intricate processes in ways that blur the boundaries between aesthetic value, personal meaning and political function.
