Soyoung Chung

During the same period of the Panorama exhibition, the underground bunker space hosts a new exhibition program titled Groundwork: The Bunker Room Presentations. The Bunker Room, previously not open to the public, is an exhibition space designed according to its specific context and location. Groundwork aims to support the ongoing creative practices of domestic artists by enabling their installations to actively engage with the physical and conceptual conditions of the space. The inaugural exhibition of this program, Half Moon Club by Soyoung Chung, explores the temporality and existence of materials, creating an open structure where incomplete beings interact through installation, sculpture, and new video works. The title 'club' refers to a place where different existences temporarily intersect, not a closed community.
