Barry McGee

Barry McGee has invited a group of artists to join him in taking over Perrotin's space in the former Del Mar Theater. Recognized as a Historical-Cultural Monument for its Art Deco façade, the property was formerly occupied by a comedy club. Celebrated in the Bay Area and beyond since the 1990s for his artistic activism, McGee has addressed issues of social stratification, consumerism, and marginalised communities through his extensive choice of medium and subject matter. The collaborative exhibition includes works by Dibi Fletcher, Herbie Fletcher, Peter Hurley, Margaret Kilgallen, Chris Lux, Alicia McCarthy, Willy Reed, Daisy Sheff, Craig Stecyk, Matt Wesson, amongst others.

This project acts as a preview of Perrotin Los Angeles, which will open in late 2023.
