Genesis P-Orridge

This is no ordinary Pandrogaragenous Avant-yard Sale. Artist, musician, and performer Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, will be at Jackie Klempay Gallery the weekend of May 30 and 31st blessing objects as they are purchased (12 - 6pm Saturday and Sunday). Objects include Lady JAYE's "throne" for her late night joint (an Afghani bridal chair with matching end tables), Songe-power figures, a Balinese human-sized chicken cage in which Gen took many an out-of-body ritual trip, Lady JAYE's Peter Fox shoes, designer platforms, bolero jackets, clothes galore, DVDs, CDs, 1960's trinkets, guaranteed used BP-O dildos, whips and...!, the bizarre, weird, and mundane tucked away in a psychedelic pop-up Tag Sale. This and much more amongst one-of-a-kind items that only someone with Genesis and Lady JAYE's sensibility could have acquired throughout the years.

Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (b. 1950 Manchester, UK) is an artist and musician currently living and working in New York. They are represented by Invisible-Exports in New York and have exhibited extensively in the United States and abroad. Exhibitions include S/he is Her/e, The Andy Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh, PA; Blood - Sex - Magick, Christine Konig Galerie, Vienna, Austria; We are But One..., Participant Inc., New York, NY; La Centrale Galerie Powerhouse, Montreal, Canada; and Candy Factory, Team Gallery, New York, NY. Her bands Psychic TV (1981 - present) and Throbbing Gristle (1976 - present) evolved from the UK performance art group COUM Transmissions (1969 - 1976).
