"You are aware I am watching you and there is nothing you can do about. This is how I want it to be. I welcome you to feel uncomfortable and I don’t care if I am too bright. You will deal with it. There are no safe words to stop this monitoring. I don’t need permission. My sense of control is embedded in me. I project my fears on you because I am the light. You cannot run away because no matter where you go I will be watching you hovering over your bedroom window and humming. ‘What film are they filming over here,’ asked the tourist. The locals don’t seem annoyed but they don’t answer their question. The tourist will understand soon enough how we operate in this region. There is no film even though there are cameras, I wait for action even though the locals have moved their business elsewhere, I am not here to resolve the problem but I shift it elsewhere. Further away from the new coffees shops, boutiques and record stores. I am apart of the problem."
