Color is a catalyst. Emotion, communication, and pleasure are but a few of the ways we map human characteristics onto color. Mesmerize is about the escape into color through playful, yet deeply considered means.

I'm very pleased to offer the second of four color-focused exhibitions at Odetta for 2018. Mesmerize brings together four artists whose paintings and LED light installations are at once formally constructed and experimental. Color is the teacher. Communicating on multiple levels, as color is wont to do, we invite you to enjoy these fresh-out-of-the-studio jewels.
