More from Jerome Johnson on Gallop

Firework Gallery is pleased to present Techno Booths, recent sculptures by Jerome Johnson.

Jerome Johnson's work continues a long standing dialogue with architecture. His earlier works alluded to structural ideas that he observed within a 20th century urban environment. His current ‘techno” works have evolved within the vernacular of 21st century technology.

"The starting point is always a drawing stage involving geometric plotting. I fabricate complex wood constructed sculptures after the drawings." These are finished with idiosyncratic encaustic surfaces.

To represent the geometric plotting in this series he has created a singular installation of all ten paintings that you see as a column formation. In addition a series of individual black and white gouache paintings consistent to each of the Techno Booth sculptures.

Techno Booths are a sequester for the various technological devices of the day.
