More from Margrét H. Blöndal on Gallop
The space has changed,
it’s different from what it used to be
Bursting from confinement, inevitable.
Unsure if they’re dancing to the off beat or stepping in tune
Probably kissing out of frame
Longing for touch, the warmth of flesh.
skin
Lines of stroking
hair
fingertips
necklaces
steps
Bodies
we had almost forgotten
were really
living, pulsating.
Desires, simmering under the
skin. Just realizing
they might still
clench, kiss, scratch, lick.
Drawings
Exploding
off the paper
Deeply crisp piercing colours only ever possible
In finely powdered poisonous pigments.
Messy, forgiving moist oil.
Not blending together, existing together.
Neverdrying oil drenches the paper, everdry
pigments illuminating, radiating,
sounding from it.
