About the show
The first exhibition in our new location in Seoul is dedicated to the German painter Horst Antes. After the Second World War, he was one of the few German painters who succeeded in returning from the abstract to the figure – something that had been considered historically impossible at the time. He is now regarded as one of post-war Modernism’s most important figurative painters and sculptors.
About Meyer Riegger
During the 2000s, looking to integrate artists into the gallery’s programme for whom existential questions around life and death, performance and the human body play an important role, Meyer Riegger forged relationships with artists such as Katinka Bock, Miriam Cahn, Eva Koťátková and Ján Mančuška, the latter of whose estate is represented by the gallery.
