Oh, There's No Alternative is a playful engagement on the idea of obsession in art making. The exhibition surveys the many forms of obsession, alternating between the sexual, material, absurd,form and process. Long term rumination is characterized by recurrent, repetitive, ritualized behavior that drives the artists to create nuanced, complex work. These idées fixes become more than just themes revisited, and each artist’s method suggests a unique approach to a collective obsession.
