Caleb Considine

Galerie Buchholz is pleased to present our third solo exhibition with Caleb Considine (b. 1982 in Los Angeles, lives and works in New York). Here Considine continues his practice of observational painting in the studio and surrounding area. Objects on shop towels or at-hand surfaces, architecture of public transit in New York, and part of a stairwell mural are carefully replicated at close range. Leopard 2 shows an unassembled war model of a tank, a recurring theme for the artist. In Lost Cove Tiki, we stare into the interior of a cocktail mug from the tropical mixology and catering service.
