Paris Internationale 2020 changes format to take the form of an exhibition, curated by Claire Le Restif, in a vacant supermarket in the centre of Paris.
Claire Le Restif is an Art Historian. Since 2003, she is the Curator and Director of the Centre d’art contemporain d’Ivry – le Crédac. The sixth edition of Paris Internationale will be titled SuperSalon, a name chosen by Claire to evoke both the spirit of the 19th century Parisian art salons and the corner supermarket. SuperSalon proposes a curatorial vision true to the spirit of the inaugural edition of Paris Internationale.
Paris Internationale was founded in 2015 as a disruptive alternative to traditional art fair models. Today, our responsibility to our exhibitors, our audience, and our supporters, demands we embrace the many complexities of our present moment and meet these new challenges collaboratively and dynamically. Our exhibitors will not be required to be present in person. Solidarity being a core value in what we do, those who can join physically will represent those who cannot.
