This new exhibition brings together a group of works by artists (represented or not by the Gallery) of various generations and backgrounds and using different mediums.

However, from Marilou Poncin to On Kawara, all of them have a particular relationship with what surrounds them, whether it be objects, language, images or signs...

Nourished by a modest theoretical ambition, the title of the exhibition, an anonymous tag found in the streets of Paris, illustrates quite well the increasingly complex relationship that our societies and each of us has with the notion of truth and more generally our relationship to the "real".

At a time of widespread doubt, omnipotent social networks, questioning the independence of the press, in a world where comments that are the result of barroom discussions are making a global "buzz" and where soon, no doubt, AI will standardize and format the speeches and situations a little more, it is above all a question of showing the works of artists whose work questions and dialogues with the world in which we evolve and hopefully helps us to understand it.

Cette nouvelle exposition réunit un ensemble d’œuvres d’artistes (représentés ou non par la Galerie) de générations et d’horizons variées et utilisant différents médiums.

Pour autant, de Marilou Poncin à On Kawara tous convoquent dans leur travail une relation particulière à ce qui les entoure, que ce soient les objets, le langage, les images ou les signes...

Nourri d’une ambition théorique modeste, le titre de l’exposition, un tag anonyme trouvé dans les rues de Paris, illustre assez bien la relation de plus en plus complexe que nos sociétés et chacun d’entre nous entretient avec la notion de vérité et plus généralement notre rapport au « réel ».

A l’heure du doute généralisé, des réseaux sociaux omnipotents, des questionnements quant à l’indépendance de la presse, dans un monde où des propos qui relèvent de la discussion de comptoir font un « buzz » planétaire et où bientôt sans doute l’IA va standardiser et formater encore un peu plus les discours et les situations, il s’agit surtout de donner à voir des œuvres d’artistes dont le travail interroge et dialogue avec le monde dans lequel nous évoluons et qui espérons-le nous aide à l’appréhender.
