Pact is honored to present Ecstasy, Amélie Bigard's first solo exhibition at the gallery. Amélie Bigard, born in 1997, is an artist primarily working in painting, sculpture, video, and installation. Her works portray frozen scenes of youth caught between violence and the refusal to grow up, seeking solace in gathering and play. Anti-heroes, ghosts, and the lost invent narratives to combat haunting memories and restrictive norms. Amidst scenes of celebration and sharing, interwoven with melancholy and tenderness, they all strive to evade something: absurd violence, imminent drama, haunting memories, and anxiety about the future.A graduate of the Beaux-Arts of Paris-Cergy and Marseille, she also received training in Orthodox icon painting. Amélie Bigard has exhibited in various locations, including Paris, Milan, Nice, Lyon, and London. In 2022, she presented her debut solo exhibition at the Consulat Voltaire in Paris and another at the Studiolo gallery in Milan. In 2021, she was one of the two laureates of the Artagon scholarship in partnership with Adam & Lavrut, and in 2023, she was among the laureates of the ADIAF Émergence prize and one of the 4 finalists for the Friends of the Palais de Tokyo prize.

Amélie Bigard is an artist working mainly in painting, sculpture and installation. She mainly ponders on the social forms of suffering, collective neuroses and the resulting images. The characters she creates figure as archetypes of teenagers caught between violence and the refusal to grow up, finding solace in coming together and playing. Anti-heroes, ghosts and lost souls invent stories to combat obsessive memories and restrictive norms.

Graduates from the ‘Beaux-Arts’ in Paris-Cergy and Marseille, she also trained in Orthodox icons painting. Amélie Bigard has exhibited into differents cities, including Paris, Milan, Nice, Lyon and London. She is currently preparing her third solo show in 2024 at Pact gallery in Paris. In 2023 she is one of the winners of the ADIAF Emergence prize and one of the 4 finalists for the « Amis du Palais de Tokyo » prize.

Amélie Bigard est une artiste travaillant principalement la peinture, la sculpture et l’installation. Elle réfléchis notamment sur les formes sociales de la souffrance, sur les névroses collectives et sur les images qui en résultent. Ses personnages figurent comme les archétypes d’adolescent·e·s pris·es entre la violence et le refus de grandir, trouvant réconfort dans le rassemblement et le jeu. Anti-héros, fantômes et égaré·e·s s’inventent des histoires pour lutter contre des souvenirs obsédants et des normes restrictives.

Diplômée des Beaux-Arts de Paris-Cergy et de Marseille, elle a également suivi une formation de peintre d’icônes orthodoxes grecques. Amélie Bigard a exposé dans divers endroits, notamment Paris, Milan, Nice, Lyon et Londres. Elle prépare actuellement son troisième solo show en 2024 à la galerie Pact à Paris. En 2023 elle fait partie des lauréat·e·s du prix ADIAF Émergence et des 4 finalistes au prix des Amis du Palais de Tokyo.
