O'Flaherty’s has the superb pleasure to present O'Flaherty’s Gelatin O'Flattering, the first exhibition at the gallery’s new location at 44 Avenue A in New York City.

In Gelatin’s performances we will see a life energy we thought had been forgotten. Their enigmatic actions of only peripheral dingcharacter populate the gallery and refer to elements of impurity, the ugly, pain and death. At the same time, Gelatin's fleischfarbenfrohe schizographies take it upon themselves to be full of liveliness, beauty and optimism. They act as seismographs of their anomic time. O’Flaherty’s Gelatin O´Flattering brings the most obscure, most repressed elements of our culture to life.

Gelatin is the return of the repressed.

Like an echo from the future or an epiphany in a swinger club, Young Boy Dancing Group will join Gelatin in the second part of this performance series.

O'Flaherty's Gelatin O'Flattering will also include the US premiere of Stinking Dawn, a full-length feature film by Liam Gillick and Gelatin.

After editing for 3 years and being rejected by all the major film festivals, O'Flaherty’s has the balls to show it.

Synopsis: The four pathetic Gelatin snobs try to keep afloat in a post-leftist capitalist dystopia by wasting their time singing in a rock band. Charmed into delusion by the shadowy nightclub owner, Liam Gillick, they succumb to lives of narcissism and irrelevance. When Gelatin leave the band in search of true meaning, Liam takes over. Returning to reclaim their former lives and reality, a desperate battle ensues. Utopian desires take physical form and wreak the world.
