What binds an exhibition? A discursive framework? Topos? Atopostopos? History? Similitude? In Half-Baked Antithesis, six artists come together traversing generations from shared edifice known as university. Pedagogy, would be tempting, under the tutelage of Carol, Trisha, and Maureen among others. A circular lineage of coming and going and going and coming. But wait. Beer. Drama. Artwork. Bento. Tylenol. Scotch tape. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger," Kelly Clarkson beautifully and gloriously sings. But what doesn't kill you also twists you, warps you, and bends you. Here are six sublimely warped pieces, for a brief occasion this summer.
