About the show
Pace African & Oceanic Art presents 25 museum-quality antique sculptures from Western and Central Africa and Papua New Guinea. Featured in the exhibition is a Kota Reliquary Figure from Gabon embellished with brass and copper as well as a magnificent Yipwon Spirit Figure from Papua New Guinea which is over 7 feet tall.
About Pace African & Oceanic Art
Carlo Bella , only the third Director in the gallery’s history, hails from Milan, Italy where his family of art dealers, artists and collectors fueled his love of art. In 1983 he graduated from NYU with a degree in political science and art history. A year later he joined Pace.
