For its first venture in Germany, L’Inconnue presents Ghosts (Redux), a solo exhibition by London-based artist Anna Mikkola featuring video, print, and installation work. In her multidisciplinary practice, Mikkola explores the dynamic relationship between society and technology, nature and culture. The exhibition includes Ghost in the Climate (2019), a video work looking at how networked images support the construction of social narratives in the mediation of climate change. The space will be partially illuminated by candlelight emanating from a steel structure piece built specifically for the show.

The exhibition will include a virtual reality experience for home delivery.

Anna Mikkola’s work explores the ways that technology alters human subjectivity and probes the boundaries of the human, often materialising as videos and installations. Exploring how technology, nature and culture are entangled, her research considers the ways that interfaces and infrastructures format lived reality. Her work depicts narratives where different entities and points in time are woven together.
