A Round About

Present Company is pleased to present A Round About. While many of the artists in this twelve-person exhibition would not necessarily consider themselves ceramicists, they all share an ongoing interest in, and use of, the medium. Whether it be the material of clay itself or the vocabulary of the practice, each artist codifies the medium’s transitional process as subject, object, construct, and scene.

A Round About is where sculpture, painting, video, and photography come together in a selection of works that question the medium and mine its function or process. Conceptually the work addresses themes of domesticity, politics, aesthetics, narrative, and ritual.
