Helen Marten

Greene Naftali is pleased to present Evidence of Theatre, an exhibition of new work by Helen Marten. On the ground floor, paintings and multi-paneled dioramas join a series of sculptures that materialize performance tropes of daily life, while upstairs Marten debuts a video work, Writing a Play (dark blue orchard), housed within a monumental sculpture. The two spaces connect via formal echoes and implied lines of narrative entwinement, enacting a complex choreography of the mind across these linked environments.
