After the success of the exhibition "The Half-Century Lettrist" organized in 1988, Galerie 1900-2000 once again brings together key figures of Lettrism, an avant-garde poetic movement founded by Isidore Isou and Gabriel Pomerand in 1946. Isidore Isou, Jean-Louis Brau, Gabriel Pomerand, Maurice Lemaître, Jacques Spacagna, Albert Dupont... are artists who play with language, experiment with the visual and auditory of letters, ultimately to rething the means of creation and, ultimately, to disrupt the arts and society.

Après le succès de l'exposition Le Demi-Siècle lettriste organisée en 1988, la galerie 1900-2000 réunit à nouveau les acteurs phares du lettrisme, un mouvement poétique d’avant-garde fondé par Isidore Isou et Gabriel Pomerand en 1946. Isidore Isou, Jean-Louis Brau, Gabriel Pomerand, Maurice Lemaître, Jacques Spacagna, Albert Dupont…autant d’artistes qui jouent avec le langage, expérimentent l’impact visuel et sonore de la lettre avec pour finalité la volonté de repenser les moyens de la création et, in fine, de bouleverser les arts et la société.
