Jacqueline Valenzuela

Jacqueline Valenzuela's first solo show with the gallery treats Chicano lowrider and custom-car culture as a devotional practice, with the auto-body shop as a place of care and remembrance. Her shadow-box style paintings are built up with faux fur, jeweled trim and fuzzy dice, and refer to the Virgen de Guadalupe and to family histories passed between generations.
