Eighty Seven Steps
Mar 1 – Apr 1, 2024
More from Gillies Adamson Semple on Gallop
"Three wooden beams removed from a ruin
Retired pearl necklaces as a new kind of jewellery
Extra days in this year
Music making environments
If you open a person, you find a landscape
The pearls left behind after cremation
Building houses that become ruins
There are no nails in Somok joinery
Reminded of scenes seemingly familiar
Plans and plans and plans and plans
The home of Aino and Alvar Aalto
The collapsing roof overhead
Distances; short and long
This architecture, only here for now
Moments made a little longer
Eighty seven steps between here and there,
Eight hundred and seventy between there and here,
Eight thousand, seven hundred between now and then."
