Galerie Julien Cadet is pleased to present the opening of its next group show Evening of the Day, curated by the artist Ernesto Burgos.

Saif Azzuz is a Libyan-Yurok artist born in 1987 and based in Pacifica, California. His paintings blend abstraction and surrealism and evoke the natural world. Saif Azzuz uses a series of personal gestural markings and iconography derived from the traditions and homelands of his people.

Chelsea Culprit, born in 1984 in Paducah, Kentucky, is an American artist who explores gender performance and labor market dynamics. Based in Mexico City and New York, she reinterprets historical painting techniques to challenge patriarchal symbols.

Brian DeGraw is a multidisciplinary artist born in 1974. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California. DeGraw's artistic approach is experimental and open-ended, with an emphasis on process and intuition. His work has been exhibited worldwide, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Venice Biennale.

Brittni Ann Harvey was born in 1992 in Newport, Rhode Island. Both a sculptor and textile artist, the artist explores global disruptions in production, technology, religion, and class hierarchy, combining analog and digital processes. She has exhibited her work in solo and group shows at various galleries including the Hessel Museum of Art, P.P.O.W. and Kunsthalle Wichita.

Erin O'Keefe is an American photographer and architect born in 1962 in New York, where she lives and works. The artist sculpts, paints, arranges and photographs geometric wooden forms to create abstract still lifes with optical illusions. Her work explores the nature of spatial perception.

Sarah Peters is an American sculptor born in 1973 and based in Queens, New York. She is known for her expertise in traditional sculptural techniques. Her haunting portraits connect ancient and historical sculpture with her own contemporary sensibilities, with distorted, exaggerated features and geometric abstractions.

Derek Weisberg is a sculptor born in 1983 in Benicia, California. Specializing in ceramics, the artist is based in New York City. The artist investigates ephemera and our cultural attitude to mortality through his sculptures of distorted faces in ceramics. He has worked with renowned artists such as Stephen De Staebler, Ursula von Rydingsvard, Manuel Neri and Peter Lane.

Eddie Martinez is a self-taught artist born in 1977 in Groton, Connecticut. He lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Martinez is known for his bright colors, dynamic brushstrokes, and the energy that emanates from his paintings in a variety of media. His practice reflects elements of historical movements such as action painting and neo-expressionism. Martinez's work has been exhibited in institutions such as the Bronx Museum of the Arts and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and is included in public collections such as the Saatchi Collection and the National Gallery of Art.
