Mario Schifano

Fourteen works by Mario Schifano from 1960 to 1967, organised with Gió Marconi of Milan. The selection includes five of his Monochromes and paintings built from photographs and news images, among them the H-bomb explosion and a portrait of the Futurists. It makes the case that his 1960s output goes well beyond the label of Italian Pop Art.
