Henry Bond

Shanaynay is pleased to present a selection of eight photographs from Henry Bond’s Interiors Series, 2003-2004. The photographs deliberately invade the privacy of the subjects, who are captured—unaware of the presence of a photographer—at leisure, in their private dwellings. By exhibiting this work, Shanaynay instrumentalises the gaze of the viewer to explicitly reveal the condition of the space. A space that embodies the dynamics of the Other’s look.

Henry Bond is a writer and photographer living in London. Interiors Series was first exhibited in 2005 at the FotoMuseum Antwerpen.
