About
Established in 2010 in East Hampton, Eric Firestone Gallery reexamines significant yet under-recognized artists from the 20th and 21st centuries with a scholarly approach. The gallery has expanded to multiple locations in New York City and East Hampton, taking a fresh look at postwar work with a contemporary eye and reintroducing artists to institutions and discourse. In close collaboration with museums, academics, and collectors, the gallery has helped shape the stories of now-known artists such as Joe Overstreet, Shirley Gorelick, and Miriam Schapiro.
