Weiss Berlin

Keith Mayerson (*1966) is a contemporary painter and draftsman, known for his work encompassing portraits, historical and personal scenes, landscapes, and more. The exhibition at Weiss Berlin aims to draw attention to graphic art as the foundation of painting, forming connections between satire, caricature, and the moving form of the line and the brushstroke. Mayerson’s drawings and a retrospective of his early paintings are accompanied by drawings from the Weimar Republic by Otto Dix (1891-1969), August Wilhelm Dressler (1886-1970), Carl Grossberg (1894-1940), George Grosz(1893-1959), Karl Hermann Haupt (1904-1983), Otto Möller (1883-1964), Josef Scharl (1886-1954) and Paul Wieghart (1896-1969).
