About
Sofia Sominski is a contemporary art gallery founded in Munich, Germany, on December 8, 2022.
The gallery program brings together a multifaceted dialogue on urban structure, architecture, and the cultural-political inscriptions. Through diverse artistic practices, it examines how cities and places can be read as visual, social, and historical systems.
Together, these perspectives offer a nuanced understanding of urban space as a site of memory, power, construction, and transformation. The program explores how architecture and urban structures not only shape the built environment but also inform collective identities, social narratives, and the ways in which history is experienced and remembered.
In December 2025, the gallery relocated to New York, establishing its current home in Tribeca. The move reflects a commitment to fostering international artistic exchange and providing represented artists with a platform for exhibitions, publications, institutional engagement, and curatorial dialogue.
