Cabinet

The website for Cabinet Gallery London. Over the course of 29 years the Cabinet has established a singular reputation for exhibition programming and live contemporary art events, as well as curatorial work in the museum world, with an increasing tendency to feed peer galleries in Europe and the USA. Cabinet was founded in Brixton by Martin McGeown in 1991 and together with Andrew Wheatley constituted the Gallery as a limited company. In 1999 the gallery moved to Clerkenwell then latterly in 2002 on Old Street. It’s present location, in a custom built gallery space in Vauxhall, was opened in 2016. It collaborates closely with curators and public museums throughout Europe and North America in the conception and presentation of exhibitions by its artists. The Cabinet presently represents 25 international artists and manages an annual exhibition and events program.
