About
Upsilon Gallery was founded in 2016 in New York City by Marcelo Zimmler. Over the past decade, the gallery has expanded internationally, with spaces in New York, London, and Milan, alongside continued partnerships across Europe and Asia. This growth underscores the gallery’s mission to foster international dialogue within the realm of abstract art. Rooted in the Greek letter ‘Upsilon’, the gallery symbolises a reverence for history and depth, demonstrating a commitment to the nuanced exploration of the underlying principles of abstract art. The gallery presents the work of artists who have been instrumental in shaping its identity over the past years, and who are the inspiration for Upsilon’s diverse range of activities that engage with art, publishing, scholarship, and technology.
