The gallery’s inaugural exhibition was the groundbreaking two-part presentation Ninth Street and Beyond: 70 Years of Women in Abstraction , which traced the evolution of non-objective painting from the “Ninth Street” pioneers of the 1950s to their 21st-century acolytes. Moving to a new location at 524 W 24th Street in Chelsea in November 2022, Hunter Dunbar Projects has joined a number of other prominent galleries on the block and is proud to present an eclectic program of museum-quality exhibitions with a dedication to creating dialogues between art of different styles, mediums, and eras.
