Hionas Gallery

The gallery was founded by Peter Hionas in the spring of 2011, opening its initial space at 89 Franklin Street in Tribeca. In January 2013 Hionas moved to 124 Forsyth Street in the Lower East Side, where the gallery operated for the next six years, staging a dynamic mix of solo and group shows, installations, and smaller retrospectives. In February 2018, Hionas moved once more, transitioning to a pop-up space, or "Backroom," located in a repurposed garage space on Atlantic Ave. in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. In the fall of 2018, the gallery leased a new pop-up space at 356 Broadway, just around the corner from Hionas' original location.
