Market Gallery

Market Gallery is a contemporary art space located in the heart of Chinatown, New York. Since 2015, Adam Zhu’s Chinatown apartment has fostered a creative community in downtown Manhattan - a shed on the roof area used for various purposes from art studio to jazz rehearsal space. In the summer of 2024, Adam worked with artist and contractor Andrew Kass to renovate the shed into a gallery space. Dedicated to supporting emerging and underrepresented artists, the gallery provides a platform for experimental and community-centered work. Through exhibitions, performances, and public programs, Market Gallery fosters dialogue around contemporary art practices while engaging with the unique cultural landscape of Chinatown.
