356 Mission

356 Mission is a space for art, performance, and community activities in Los Angeles. It was founded by Laura Owens, an artist based in Los Angeles, Wendy Yao, founder of the bookstore Ooga Booga, and Gavin Brown, a gallerist based in New York. 356 Mission began in 2012 as the studio of Laura Owens, and opened to the public in 2013 with an exhibition and series of events.

Events include performances, screenings, discussions, concerts, and readings. While we have always focused on free, accessible programs, 356 Mission occasionally hosts fundraisers for causes that are important to us, through suggested donations at the door or the sale of artwork. For these events, all monies collected go directly to the cause.
