About

Our New York arts space is notably the go-to location for William Kentridge’s printed works. David Krut became one of Kentridge’s primary publishers in the early 1990’s, working with the artist on printed editions, books and other publications. In 1998, Krut was the first to bring Kentridge’s editioned work to the USA with an exhibition in Chicago, through which Kentridge’s work was placed in many important museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art.

In 2002, David Krut established the first professional intaglio workshop in Johannesburg, which is now located at Arts on Main alongside William Kentridge’s sculpture workshop and the artist’s project The Centre for the Less Good Idea.
